Most days, I can be found with a guitar in my hands. I grew up under the care of a mother with a music degree and an amazing voice. My dad was always playing guitar. During his college years, he travelled and sang with multiple acapella gospel groups. I love music. I love everything about it and it holds so much power. At six years old, I accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. One thing to know about me is that I am always asking questions, eager to learn more. This led to a desire to know God more with each day that passed. My childhood continued with minimal disaster. As a senior in high school, I had been playing the guitar for five years. I found my first opportunity to play music in a worship setting. I fell in love. At that point, my music took on a new purpose.
When I graduated high school, I went to Louisiana Tech to study mechanical engineering. Shortly after starting the quarter, I realized that there was much more meant for my life. I stopped everything and moved back home. Today, I am following a call to ministry. I am working on a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry, and hope to continue my work in the church. I have an Associate’s degree in Communication Media concentrated in sound and music recording. At church, I serve on the worship team and help lead the youth. Along with leading worship in live settings, I also write and record my own music. There is nothing that I love more than sharing Jesus with those around me.
